Wyrestorm 8x16 HDBaseT Matrix - MX0816-HDBT

Overview

HDBaseT is a consumer electronic connectivity supported by leading manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung and LG that allows long distance transmission of uncompressed 1080p, 60Hz, 48bits/pixel video, audio, 100BaseT Ethernet, control via IR and RS232 and (eventually) power, all via RJ45 terminated Cat5e/6/7 cable over distances of up to 100m (328ft).
Compared to conventional HD distribution over dual cable Cat5/6, HDBT is a far more robust HD transmission technology that is less susceptible to electrical interference, is faster, easier and less expensive to install, and offers higher specification features that can cover a greater variety of applications. Importantly, it is a technology geared towards the future of HD distribution, where the Internet enables full communication between consumer devices in any location, allowing users to access all kinds of multimedia content instantly, such as video, music, and images stored around the home, office or commercial environment.

The Matrix has versatile control, with users able to choose fromseveral methods of controlling the matrix – Infrared (IR) emittersand receivers, RS232, RS485, LAN, touch screen, panel button, orby using the remote control included with the unit.

The Wyrestorm MX-0816-HDBT offers incredible flexibility and reliabilityof signal distribution combined with innovative features and anease of use that provides solutions where HD transmission overdistance to multiple displays is required, whilst also eliminatingthe need for additional control and video cables on installation, whether in a residential or commercial setting.
